No doubt about it – the Sabres played their best game of the season last night in a 6-nothing win over the Boston Bruins.  The Sabres not only won, but embarrassed the Bruins.  Everything was working right - offensively, defensively.  They didn't do too well in the fighting department, but boy, the goals were finally going in.

Jason Pominville led the scoring parade with a pair of goals with Christian Ehrhoff, Tyler Ennis, Patrick Kaleta and Drew Stafford.  Ryan Miller stopped 36 shots to pick up his 25th career shutout and third this season.

You've got to wonder where all this was for the past two plus months.  Yeah - they have the injury excuse, but all teams have injuries and find ways to overcome them.

Something interesting – Miller got the shutout while his brother Drew Miller scored the winning goal for the Detroit Red Wings in a victory over Edmonton.  First time brothers did something like that since the Esposito brothers in 1973.

Sabres now have points in their last five games.  They host Dallas tomorrow night.
