It’s January and snowing today so you’re probably not thinking about June yet or maybe you are because you hate winter. Regardless June is a big month for country music with shows like our Taste of Country (lineup announced Tuesday morning at 7:20) and the big CMA Festival in Music City. The event formally known as fan fair, has announced some of the performers that have signed on to play at LP Field in Nashville.

One of the most fun events during the 'CMA Music Festival ’ is the City of Hope Softball Challenge in Nashville. This year’s game is set for June 11 at Greer Stadium. The challenge supports and helps raise money for research and treatment for cancer and other life-threatening diseases. I went to Nashville for the festival when it was still known as ‘Fan Fair’ and had a blast.

The CMA Music Festival will use Facebook to announce the first performer’s for this year’s festival. Preparations are underway for the event and the CMA’s official Facebook page will have the announcement of acts on Tuesday, February 8th at 10am (CST). The CMA Music Fest is June 9-12 and it marks the 40th anniversary of the event that started as Fan Fair®.
