A new contract between Ford and the UAW brings good news to the Woodlawn plant. It’ll mean $136-million in new investments in the local plant. Ford also plans to recall 120 laid-off workers and create 400 new jobs at the plant.

Jamey Rodemeyer, the young man from Williamsville who ended his own life to escape the torment of bullies has a new champion for his cause. Lady Gaga heard his story and was so moved that she tweeted the following.

Bullying...a word we've heard a lot more these past few days. Kind of sad that it takes a tragedy like the suicide of the 14 year old from Williamsville, Jamey Rodemeyer  to get our attention. Perhaps it's time to dig up this Country classic from Mark Wills to remind ALL of us that we are all the same...we are ALL God's children.

UPDATE: There will be a special Vigil/Memorial Walk in honor of Jamey Rodermeyer on Sunday evening (9/25) at 8pm. It starts on Allen St. between Franklin and Main. Public welcome.
