NASCAR Preview For New Hampshire

New Hampshire Speedway in Loudon, NH (Getty Images)It’s a busy weekend in racing with Sprint Cup, Nationwide and the Truck Series  all in action. Sprint and Nationwide are at New Hampshire while the trucks are running in Iowa.

Kyle Busch won two out of three races last week at Kentucky, winning the Truck series event on
Thursday then the Sprint Cup race on Saturday. He enters this weekend with 99 NASCAR wins and with just one more victory he'll become only the third NASCAR driver with 100 or more wins to his credit. Richard Petty holds the all-time record with 200, followed by David Pearson with 106.

Kyle Busch Wins First Sprint Cup Race At Kentucky Speedway

A great night at the track for Kyle Busch in the first sprint cup event at Kentucky Speedway.  Busch led a race high 125 laps and claimed his third victory of the season when he passed Jimmie Johnson on a late restart and held on to the lead to put himself back into the points lead at the halfway point of the season.

David Reutimann also managed to get by Johnson for a career best second place finish while Johnson came in third.

Ryan Newman and Carl Edwards completed the top five.

Matt Kenseth Wins At Dover

A pretty uneventful race at Dover yesterday and as it turns out so many times it’s pit strategy that pays off.  For the guys that had the best cars, Carl Edwards, Jimmie Johnson and Clint Bowyer their decision to take four tires on the final pit stop put them too far back in the pack to get to the front again

Jimmie Johnson Wins In A Photo Finish At Talladega

You couldn’t have asked for a better race at any level at any track.  On the final lap any one of four cars could have won and when the checkered flag flew it was a moment before anyone realized exactly who had won.  But when the dust all settled a video review showed it was Jimmie Johnson who won the Aaron’s 499 at Talladega edging Clint Bowyer by 0.002 of a second – that’s less than a foot.

NASCAR Preview: Bristol

After a disappointing 38th-place finish last at Vegas, Kyle Busch looks to rebound at Bristol this weekend where he's had a lot of success in recent years. Busch was the points leader heading into Vegas, but dropped to 14th when he left.

It was just last August at Bristol when Kyle became the first driver to win all three of NASCAR's national touring series races in the same weekend.
