Mother's day

Mother's Day is Sunday. This will be the sixth Mother's Day without my Mom and twelve years for my wife Maribeth's Mother. No doubt tears will be shed when we visit their graves...much like the tears that are welling up in our eyes as we listen to the late Jimmy Dean Mother's Day classic called, "I.O.U."

If you really think about it, Mother's Day is the perfect opportunity to make up for all those times you gave mom a hard time during your youth. After all, a bouquet of daffodils now definitely excuses that time you snuck out of the house at 2 am. And a box of gourmet truffles?
