There are so many country stars coming to Western New York this year, and the first concert of the year kicked off with some Buffalo Sabres pride.

Parmalee's love songs have done well at country radio. Now, they're ready to take the next step forward.

"We're living the snubbed life," singer Matt Thomas tells Taste of Country, with a hint of resignation in his voice.

This inaugural list of country singers who won the year starts with fan responses to that very question.

They've definitely found their musical groove.

A lot of heavy hitters -- and a couple of surprise successes -- dominated the country radio airwaves in 2022.

"Best move we ever made," singer Matt Thomas shares. "Hindsight is 2020, but I wish I’d done it a long time ago."
