‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Trailer Breaks Records With 88 Million Views
If there were any lingering doubts about the popularity of Star Wars in the year 2015, Star Wars Celebration killed them. Ruthlessly. When the the live-streamed panel for Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiered the second trailer for J.J. Abrams’ wildly anticipated sequel, you could feel the internet quiver and shake underneath the weight of the hype. It was a staggering event that made the next few geek-friendly trailers released in the following days feel like small potatoes in comparison. And yes, this hyperbole is backed up by raw numbers: the second trailer for The Force Awakens shattered the record for most trailer views in 24 hours.

‘Star Wars’ Plane That Looks Like R2-D2 Will Take Off This Fall
Ultimate Star Wars fans, take notice. Pretty soon you’ll be able to board a special Star Wars plane painted to look like R2-D2, perfect for taking flight — though not to a galaxy far, far away, unfortunately. You’ll need to talk to NASA about that. All Nippon Airways is launching the very special plane this fall in honor of the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In case you weren’t aware, Star Wars is kind of a big deal again. It’s pretty much all we talked about on the internet today.

Now that the first Star Wars spinoff has an official title and an official leading lady, it’s about time for the project to get into gear and add a few more faces. Australian actor Ben Mendelsohn might just be the first name to join the cast opposite Felicity Jones, which is a very, very exciting prospect if you’ve paid any attention to Mendelsohn’s work at all.

‘Star Wars’ Live-Action TV Series Rumored in Development Between Movies
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far removed from the notion of a third Star Wars trilogy every getting off the ground, rumors and development of a live-action Star Wars TV series buzzed about in every direction. We’d thought for certain that The Force Awakens, for all its sequels and spinoffs had firmly put that idea to bed, but a new rumor suggests Disney may draft a new Star Wars TV series to shoot in between films.

First ‘Star Wars’ Spinoff Officially Titled ‘Rogue One’
Star Wars details have always been difficult to come by, but they've proven even more difficult with the upcoming spinoff. Other than confirmation that Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) will direct, we know very little about the film. Well, now we at least know what it will be called. Disney and Lucasfilm today confirmed that the first ever Star Wars spinoff will be officially called Rogue One.

Star Wars fans....the Saga continues this summer!  I'm not talking about the new movie.  Star Wars night has been a huge success for the Buffalo Bisons in the past.  This year it's back again and the Bisons are really doing it up with an all new commemorative jersey.

Before he was a CGI creation, Jedi master Yoda was a puppet. Before green screens became the norm, the Dagobah set for ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ was built elevated off the ground to accommodate Yoda’s puppeteers. And before he brought Yoda to life, puppeteer and voice actor Frank Oz was best known as the man behind Miss Piggy. In a weird way, that makes the most wizened character in the ‘Star Wars’ universe a distant relative of the extended Muppet family.

When Disney bought George Lucas’ company, they got more than the buildings, computers, droids, and the ‘Star Wars’ intellectual property. They also got George Lucas’ unused ideas for future ‘Star Wars’ movies. Though Lucas had insisted for years that ‘Revenge of the Sith’ was his final ‘Star Wars’ film, that didn’t stop him from brainstorming a few other potential stories that could be set after the events of ‘Return of the Jedi’ (and, I assume, mostly involve Jar-Jar Binks wandering the universe and getting into “hilarious” misadventures).

Although all of the public focus is currently on the looming release of ‘Star Wars: Episode 7,’ Disney, Lucasfilm and director Gareth Edwards are currently trying to whip the first standalone film in the saga into shape. A few days ago, original screenwriter Gary Whitta amicably departed the project after completing his initial draft, leading the entire internet to wonder what’s next for this mysterious project, which is still due out in 2016. Now, it looks like the next screenwriter writer has already been found. Enter Simon Kinberg.

Marvel Releases Seven Pages Of ‘Star Wars’ By Aaron, Cassaday & Martin
We're less than a week away from the launch of Marvel's Star Wars line with the first issue of, hey, Star Wars, by Jason Aaron, John Cassaday, and Laura Martin, so Marvel has put out a couple of sneak peaks of the issue -- one lettered, one unlettered. We've helpfully brought them together so you can enjoy more of the story of fan favorite character Overseer Aggadeen and... the cast of Firefly, I think? I don't really know Star Wars; sorry. Star Wars #1 is an officially in-continuity comic (for now, anyway!) that picks up directly after the end of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, following the adventures of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Cowardly Lion, Tin Man and Scarecrow in the wake of the destruction of the Death Star. Finally, a sequel to Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope! I can't believe they've never done that before.
