It looks like Sugarland is facing a massive class action lawsuit stemming from the deadly stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair.

As promised, Sugarland are returning to Indiana for a show in honor of the seven killed and dozens injured when the stage collapsed before an August show at the Indiana State Fair. Friday night’s concert at the Conseco Fieldhouse will benefit the Indiana State Fair Remembrance Fund.

You knew this would happen, Sugarland possibly being sued by families of the victims of the Indiana State Fair stage collapse.  An official law suit hasn’t been filed but the duo has been named as a defendant in a tort claim which states that the band its members, agents and employees could be among 15 potential defendants.

Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles has been asked to host the CMA country Christmas special for a second year.   The two hour show will be taped on November 10th which is the day after the CMA Awards and will air on ABC during the holidays.   I watched the special last year and thought Jennifer did a great job hosting.  Word is she is pleased to have been asked back to host once again.

A seventh person has now died from that stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair.  A 24-year old Cincinnati woman was taken off life support yesterday and later died.  She was sitting in the front row of the concert venue waiting for Sugarland to take the stage when a gust of wind caused the stage to topple.

It's scary to think about concerts being dangerous but in the last couple days, not only have they been dangerous...they've been deadly.  At least three people were killed when a stage collapsed today at a music festival called Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium.

It is tough to watch the video’s that have surfaced of the horrible stage collapse in Indiana this past Saturday.  The terror those people went through and are going through after five lives were lost.
