Flames were sent high in the sky as a fertilizer plant near Waco, Texas exploded Wednesday night (April 17).

EMTs have said that between 60-70 have been killed and many more have been injured.

"It was like the whole earth shook" one local said.

There were also other buildings affected:

"Streets near the plant have caught on fire, including a local middle school. One building affected by the explosion was a nursing home, whose residents were evacuated to a high school football field. Some injured residents were transported to hospitals in police patrol cars."
