It doesn't matter if you're a kid that was born in the 90's or 2000's or 2010's--Nickelodeon was a staple in your childhood. Remember, when you were a kid you would just run off the bus and turn on Channel 35 (at least, here in the Buffalo area) and then watch Rugrats, then Doug, the Rocko's Modern Life and you would only stop when your mom or dad told you that you had to.

Nickelodeon was launched in 1979, and back then, there was no commercials. The network is known for some of the longest running shows for kids and teens, whether it be cartoons, live shows or hybrid, there were always shows you loved to watch that have no turned into classics.

We took to twitter to find what show came to your mind first. The list below is compiled from ScreenRant.com on which have been the longest running and most successful shows in the history of Nickelodeon. SIDE NOTE: Family Double Dare should have made that list. How fun was that one?

It doesn’t matter if the program aired in the 80s, 90s or 2000s, or lasted or one season or ten seasons. The criteria we’re judging on involves overall quality, creativeness, popularity and how influential each of these shows has become in its own right", according to ScreenRant.
