It has been a great weekend to be a young driver at Kentucky Speedway! Friday night's Nationwide race was proof of that as the #3 car rolled in to victory lane!It was pretty clear the entire race that Austin Dillon was going to take the checkered flag as he dominated from the get go after starting on the pole.

NASCAR.com reported that..

The car Dillon drove was a black No. 3 Chevrolet, reminiscent of the car Dale Earnhardt drove for Childress until his death in the 2001 Daytona 500.

Dillon's car did fail the post race inspection, but NASCAR is allwoing him to keep the win and will be assessed a points penalty. It was so cool yet sorta weird to see that #3 going around the track in the lead. It definitely brought back memories of watching Dale Earnhardt Sr. back in the day. Senior was on everyone's mind after the win for the Childress team...

"Dale would have been proud," an emotional Childress said after the race.
