Packing on the pounds is something that we all are concerned with as the holiday season nears.  Here are some suggestions that should help you keep some of the extra "love" off during the next two months!

- Get a good amount of sleep......Being tired will make you eat more!

 

- Drink lots of water.........Not taking in enough water, your body will retain it.....adding 10-15 pounds.

 

- Cut appetite in half by eating the "good" carbs..................beans, whole grains, rice, fruits!

 

-Limit your protein intake!

 

- Keep stress levels down!.....take a walk or a jog, read a book................stress can make you want to eat.

 

- Avoid "bad"carbs- potatoes, breads, desserts.  Yeah right!....At least try to limit them!

 

- Vinegar reduces the body's absorption of the "bad carbs".  Maybe use vinegar with oil for your salad dressing!
