Today is Blue Monday

Today is Blue Monday. The nickname comes from a theory that pegs the third Monday of every January as the most depressing day of the year. Funny, I had no clue today was blue Monday but this morning I did feel down right blue, I just blamed it on the frigid temperature.

British psychologist Cliff Arnall came up with the theory after developing a complex equation that factors in how people are affected by post-holiday debt, broken New Year’s resolutions and the gloomy winter weather.

How will you kick the blues on this day?  I think this day calls for winter comfort food…chilli anyone?

By the way, Arnall says the happiest day of 2011 will be June 17th, can someone hit the fast forward button please.
