Check your chicken before you make dinner tonight.  Wegmans is recalling over 1000 lbs. of chicken that may not have been inspected.  WIVB Channel 4 is reporting that the chicken was produced on Sunday January 3rd.

A federal inspector was the person who found the mistake after Wegman's altered it's production schedule.  The chicken was produced outside the approved hours of production.

This is considered a Class 1 recall, which means it's a situation that has “a reasonable probability” that consuming the product will result in serious, adverse health consequences or death.
