Western New York Cheering For This Car At Watkins Glen

The next race on the schedule for NASCAR fans is happening right here in New York State! The roar of the engines will fire up this weekend at Watkins Glen.

We are very lucky to have a great, road-course, track here in New York State. Ask just about any fan and driver and they will mention Watkins Glen as one of their favorite tracks and favorite weekend's of the year.

This weekend, thousands of fans will be headed down the Thruway to see the biggest stars in NASCAR at Watkins Glen and there is one driver that people from the Buffalo area will be cheering for the most.

Jeremy Clements is the driver of the number 51 Chevy in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and he will be sporting a logo from a business here in Western New York. Once again, Runners Roost will have a spot on Jeremy's car for the race at "The Glen" this weekend and the weather looks perfect for it!

We spoke to Jeremy about his partnership with The Runners Roost. He tells us that, "they've been on board a few times already this year and they have a great selection of shoes! I run a lot to keep in shape so it's a real good product sponsor for me"!

As for the racing, Clements says, "(Watkins Glen) is one fast course. It's one of those places you really gotta attack and fuel mileage could come in to play and I really feel like we can bring a car that could go for a checkered flag".

Jeremy is coming off of a top 20 finish in Indianapolis this past weekend.
