1st Western New York Pinball Club Opens Up on Transit Road
This looks awesome and a lot of fun.
Think of it as a country club, but for pinball arcade machines. There is sometimes money involved, and the Nickel City Pinball Club has officially opened after a lot of hard work over the course of a couple of years.
Do you remember the Hidden Shamrock Bar and Tavern on the corner of Transit Road and Gould in Depew, New York. It was run down. It didn't look good. But, now it has new life surely.
The club is officially open and they are holding their first tournament this weekend. A lot of people have been asking are the open to the public. The club operates as a members only club but occasionally will have tournaments that the public can join. Matthew Taylor who is the head of the new club said that it is almost like a brand new building on Transit Road. They took everything down to the studs and rebuilt the place including new drywall, plumbing, electrical, floors and bathrooms.
We operate as a members only private social club. However, we will host events, tournaments, and leagues throughout the year that are open to the public via the purchase of a Trial (Day) Membership. Stay tuned on this page, as we will post upcoming events as they are scheduled", Taylor wrote on Facebook.
According to their website, there are details on how much memberships are, and if you are interested, how much it would be for a daily pass. So, even if you are not a member you can go check out the facility and play for a certain amount of money. They only allow you to do this so many times though, before buying a membership. You can see their website here.
