Where is the best cheeseburger in Western New York?

There are some really great places and obviously, because this is Buffalo, New York and we are such a foodie town, there are some really sneaky places and spots that you might not think of. For example--we all know the Grover's or the Allentown Burger Venture, but where are those the GOAT in Western New York?

Of course, this is subjective, so don't get mad at the list. But, lets begin.

• 2. Rock Burger- There are a few locations including Elmwood, Tonawanda + Cheektowaga
• 3. 189 - East Aurora
• 4. Off The Wall - Orchard Park
• 5. Buffalo Burger Bros - Hamburg, also their food truck
• 6. Stooges - Lockport
• 7. Smokin' Little Diner - Lancaster

Now that I think of it, the list is pretty wide spread across Western New York. Where is your favorite place to get a cheeseburger in Western New York?

One of the best spots to get a burger was Mister Sizzles (RIP) (kind of).

Mister Sizzles abruptly shut down in dramatic fashion in Western New York after a few reasons but mainly due to a dispute between the owners (who are stand out people) and the investors. When it was time to say goodbye to the new Buffalo favorite, they even gave away their secret, famous recipe for their Mister Sizzles sauce. Then in the first quarter of 2025, they announced that the burger joint would be coming back but completely rebranded as Augie's which is nod to the owners' son.

And we can't wait.
