Clay Talks With Canisius College Basketball Coach Jim Baron [VIDEO]
I am a huge fan of college basketball. I like some of the big schools like Texas and Syracuse. But my heart is with Canisius College. I am a Canisius grad ('99) and have followed them even before I went to school there.I even tried out for the basketball team when I was freshman. I never was all that great at hoops and never made the team. However, I was the PA announcer for them for a few years!!
Getting the chance to sit down with a big name like Jim Baron was a real treat. Coach Baron has such enthusiasm for the Canisius program even though he and his team are faced with a tough schedule and are still shaking off last year's rough season. However, I think the outlook is good for the Griffs this year. I also think that we are lucky to have "big time" college basketball in the heart of Buffalo. As Coach Baron eluded to in our interview, with great parking, a train and bus station near by and a great facility like the Koessler Center, getting to see the Griffs in action couldn't be easier!
If you love high flying, hard core college basketball as much as I do...get out and support the Canisius College Golden Griffins! With a new coach and a new season, the next era of hoops at Canisuis is about to tip off and it's going to be thrilling!
