Looking for something to do for an early Valentine's date or maybe a late Galentine's date?  Check out this outdoor "Pop-Up" Market from the Chippewa Alliance.

The Chippewa Alliance has a mission to " serve as a catalyst for creating a vibrant Chippewa Community in the heart of downtown Buffalo that benefits, attracts, and aligns residents, businesses and visitors."

It's something that's been tough to do this year.  With COVID, people were told to stay home and stay safe.  But that also meant that some of the businesses that are owned and operated by people right here in our own city were and still are struggling.

This weekend is a bit of a chance to give them a little help.

The Chippewa Alliance is hosting what they call the "Lots of Love for the 716" outdoor pop-up market.  According to WGRZ, that will include vendors from across Western New York, including food, clothing and more.

“Local small businesses and restaurants have been hit particularly hard by the pandemic, especially those that rely heavily on corporate foot traffic downtown. This market is a fun way to bring people together in a safe environment, while supporting Buffalo businesses and the Chippewa neighborhood.” - Rachel DeDomenico, president and executive committee chair, Chippewa Alliance.

Look for the market starting Saturday, Feb. 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in a parking lot at the corner of Franklin Street and Chippewa Street

Some of the vendors you can expect to see are:

  • Buffalo Dapper Paws
  • Spot Coffee
  • E. Dale Designs
  • Modern Nostalgia
  • Pacific Cloud Seafoods
  • Flat 12 Mushrooms
  • Revamped New York, LLC
  • Buffalo Food Slut (BTS)
  • The Lounge Shop
  • Ivy Reign
  • MS Eye Candy Boutique
  • Breads by Baynes
  • Tulsi Buffalo
  • Built Without Guilt

  • Nickel City Cigars

Obviously COVID protocols will be in place to ensure people's safety.  Masks will be required and there will be a limit of 50 people in the market area at a time.  Click here for more of the regulations.
