Batavia’s Own Thomas Weichman Is This Week’s Hometown Hero!

It's time once again for our Hometown Hero, brought to you by Batavia Downs gaming with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help up with our nominations.  This week's Hometown Hero is originally from Batavia New York.  It's 25 year old Army Specialist Thomas Weichman!

Thomas' nomination came from his mom and said:

"Thomas is my son.  He has worked really hard to become a soldier.  When he was younger he had to have 2 knee surgeries and he thought he would never fulfill his dream of being in the Army.  However, he put in the hard work and now has been in for 2 years.  Our family is extremely proud of the man he has become and the dedication to reach his goal.  He truly has grown into an incredible respectful man and we all love him very much."

And we, as a country are grateful for his dedication and his service.  Today we say thank you to Thomas Weichman and are proud to call him our Hometown Hero of the week.
