There are plenty of rumors out there about where Davante Adams could be traded.  Are the Bills still one of the franchises that are interested in him?

Davante Adams is a wide receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders.  There are plenty of rumors going around about who is interested in him, and where he would like to go.  The question is, are the Bills still one of the teams who are trying to work out a trade for him?

What do we know about Davante Adams?

As it is right now, there are only a few things that most people know about the situation.  The first is that he would like to be traded from the Raiders.  He has made it known that he would like a trade as soon as possible.

We also know that he is not playing right now.  He has been injured and on the sidelines.

Where would Adams probably want to go?

Anytime you see "probably" there's a lot of guessing.  Many have guessed that he wouldn't mind going to either the Jets or the Saints.  Adams would like an opportunity to play with Rodgers again.  He started his career in Green Bay with Rodgers and was his #1 weapon there.  Rodgers would probably love another option at receiver too.

Adams went to the Raiders to play with Derek Carr who he played with at Fresno State.  They acquired him by giving up a 1st-round draft pick.  That would be the connection with the Saints (the team that Carr is on now), however, Carr just got hurt and will be out for awhile.

But he has mentioned that he would like to go somewhere with a quarterback that he knows.

Would the Bills be an option for Davante Adams?

Josh Allen is a quarterback that a lot of receivers would love to play with.  The question is whether the Bills could afford it.  The Raiders are asking for at least a 2nd round pick in exchange for Adams.  It's a price that not many would be excited to pay for an aging, injured player.  But there is no doubt that if he is even half the player he used to be, he would still be a very dangerous player to have.

Today, former Raiders fullback and executive Marcel Reece joined Kay Adams on the "Up & Adams" podcast and talked about options for Adams.  He included that he was very close to the trade talks and that there was a "very sneaky" team that should still be included in the list of possible landing spots for Adams:

Eric Wood was talking with former Jets center Nick Mangold on his "Centered On Buffalo" podcast and alluded to a theory that the Bills might just still be "in it" in order to raise the price for Adams in case the Jets really want him.

Are the Bills still in on Davante Adams?  Maybe.  It would be a bit of a gamble simply due to the cost, but it could pay off in dividends.

But no one will actually know until the papers get signed.
