The Buffalo Bills Get Massive Shoutout At Tyson/Paul Fight
How big have the Buffalo Bills gotten? Now they're even getting mentioned in sports that aren't named football!
Last night millions around the world tuned into Netflix to stream what was set to be one of the biggest fights ever, and neither of the boxers were currently ranked. It was an exhibition fight between Jake Paul who is currently 12-1 and "The Champ," 58 year old Mike Tyson.
I don't want to spoil it for you, but after it was all over, tons of people were angry that they stayed up so long to watch it.
However, if you're a Bills fan, you may have geeked out a little during the coverage before the fight when one of the announcers gave some love to the Buffalo Bills. His name is Ariel Helwani. He's mostly known for doing MMA fights, but last night, he was given the assignment to cover the Tyson/Paul Fight. As he was setting the stage for what was to come later, he referenced the great Marv Levy to explain how he was feeling.
It's the perfect quote for more than one situation. "Where else would you rather be than right here, right now?"
Helwani hasn't kept it a secret that he's a Bills fan. Tap here to see just how big of a Bills fan he is. He is from Montreal, Quebec and claims to have been watching the Bills since he was a little kid in the early 90s. While the rest of his family were fans of the Cowboys, Helwani held strong as a Bills fan.
Unfortunately it turned out that a lot of people would have preferred to have been in bed by the time the final bell rang on the Tyson and Paul fight. But as a Bills fan, it was cool to see them being represented on that stage.
