The Buffalo Bills have waived one of their young cornerbacks today with hopes that he will continue to get healthy and be able to come back at a later date.

The Bills waived Dorian Strong today

The Buffalo Bills have announced that they've waived cornerback Dorian Strong today with an injury designation. Now, Strong will go to waivers. If he is not picked up by another team through the waiver process, he will come back to the Bills, and they will likely put him on injured reserve or give him an injury settlement, making him a free agent. Unlike the regular season, if you are placed on IR before the 53-man roster is finalized, your season is normally over.

Strong looked good before injury

Strong was injured in Week 4 last year with a neck injury and was not able to come back to play for the rest of the year. It's unfortunate because he was looking good early.

He was a 6th-round pick for the Bills in the 2025 draft out of Virginia Tech.

The Bills did make some other roster moves

Brandon Beane was busy at One Bills Drive today. Not only did he make the move with Dorian Strong, but he also waived running back Desmond Reid with an injury designation. He waived wide receiver Gabriel Benyard.

He also signed two more wide receivers, including Deven Thompkins and Max Tomczak. Thompkins must have impressed the staff with his practice yesterday. He was at minicamp on a tryout basis (kind of like how Joe Andreesen earned a spot on the roster) before being signed today.
