It turns out that the Buffalo Bills weren't even among the final two teams for the services of wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.  The free agent decided that the Baltimore Ravens were the right fit for him and so he signed a two-year contract to catch passes from Joe Flacco instead of Tyrod Taylor.

Maclin visited with the Bills last week, but after two days he left One Bills Drive to head to Baltimore and national reports say Maclin's decision came down to either the Ravens or Philadelphia Eagles.  Despite the best efforts of Maclin's former teammate with the Eagles LeSean McCoy to convince him to sign with Buffalo, the Bills weren't even in the mix.

So it's back to Plan A for the Bills with rookie receiver Zay Jones being projected as a starter along with Sammy Watkins on opening day.  Jones' development took a bit of a detour when he went down with a sprained knee last month in OTA's, but he was well enough to be back on the field last week, but he should ready to go for mandatory mini-camp this week with sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
