
Nevermore, Buffalo Beats Baltimore 41-40
NFL fans all over the world are excited for the first week of September as the 2025 NFL Season kicks off. League festivities got started with great fanfare when Dallas traveled to Philadelphia for Thursday Night Football and the NFL Kickoff Game. After tons of fun for the rest of the week, the nation's eyes focused on the Empire State's only NFL city, where the hometown Buffalo Bills hosted the Baltimore Ravens in a rematch of a hard-fought playoff game from last season.
The Ravens and Bills, two powerhouse teams in the AFC, and thier two MVP Quarterbacks have started to develop a sort of rivalry over the last few years. The Ravens beat the Bills early in the 2024 season, but Buffalo came back in the 2024/25 Playoffs.
Now for the 2025 season, these teams are back battling each other to set the tone for the year.

The Sunday Night Football contest kicked off with Buffalo taking the ball first and quickly marching down the field for a 1st quarter 15-yard touchdown pass from Josh Allen to Dalton Kincaid.
The Bills' defense came up big during the middle of the first quarter when Ed Oliver put a huge sack on Lamar Jackson. That sack forced the Ravens to kick a field goal, allowing Buffalo to maintain a 7-3 lead at the end of the 1st quarter.
That lead, however, didn't last long as the Ravens' Derrick Henry ripped a 30-yard run to score a touchdown for the Ravens. The scoring didn't stop for the Ravens as later in the second quarter, Ravens QB Lamar Jackson took 10 yards for a second Baltimore score.
The first half was full of pretty exciting football, with Buffalo kicking a last-second field goal, bringing the score to 20-13.

After the mid-game break and an amazing halftime show, the Ravens came out with the first possession of the third quarter and marched right down to the field to score. Zay Flowers took a 23-yard pass from Jackson right to the end zone.
While Baltimore had the lead, the Bills would not be denied as they continues to fight back and James Cook made sure the Bills' were in it with a 2-yard touchdown run. A Baltimore penalty on the extra point gave the Bills a chance to go for a two-point conversion, but Keon Coleman was pushed out of bounds before catching the ball, which resulted in a penalty and the try being no good.
Just when the Bills started to show some spark, with a big two-yard touchdown run by Josh Allen, giving Allen the Bills record in rushing touchdowns; Baltimore came right back with Derrick Henry scampering 46-yards to grab his second touchdown of the game.
However, just when you thought the game was over, the Buffalo Bills defense found some life and forced Derrick Henry to fumble. That big defensive play gave the the offense some energy to get to work battling back from near defeat. Keon Coleman caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Allen with just about 4 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Just 2 minutes later, Josh Allen ran 1-yard for his second touchdown of the game, the 67th of his career.
With the clock expiring, free agent kicker Matt Parter kicked a 32-yard field goal to win 41-40.
This game marked the 14th meeting between the Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills, the first time these two teams faced each other dating back to 1999. This win by Buffalo ties the all time series between these two teams at 7 games each.
