Report: The Bills Might Try To Make Big Draft Trade

Free agency in the NFL is winding down, which means the focus switches to the 2022 NFL Draft, which is one month away.

The Buffalo Bills are in pretty shape with their roster. In fact, they're currently the Super Bowl favorites. The roster is deep across the board and they have Josh Allen, which helps significantly in Super Bowl odds.

However, general manager Brandon Beane takes the draft seriously and is not afraid to make moves to better roster.

The two positions the Bills might need more depth is cornerback and wide receiver, which is important in a league predicated on passing and offense. The Bills do pick at 25 in the first round, which could present a problem if the top 3-4 corners are gone and there is a run on wide receivers.

According to Zig Fracassi of Sirius/XM covering the NFL, the word behind the scenes is the Bills might try and make a move up the board.

The most interest aspect of that report is moving a veteran in a trade. The one player that comes to mind is Tremaine Edmunds.

Edmunds has been discussed as the odd man out of the defense, as the Bills try and pay their top stars. Edmunds has not been amazing but good in his four-year career and he's still just 24 years old.

The Bills might be targeting a corner or someone like Jameson Williams or Chris Olave as wide receiver.

The best cornerback in the draft is Cincinnati's Sauce Gardner, but he will likely go in the top 10, which means the Bills would have to mortgage a lot to move up.
