Buffalo Bills Player Added to New Reserve/COVID-19 List
Buffalo Bills player Isaiah "Ike" Brown has tested positive for COVID-19 and is being placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Addition on that list indicates that the player has either tested positive or is currently in quarantine. The rookie defensive back is an undrafted free agent out of Florida International University. Per the Buffalo News, Brown was one of 18 total players across the league to be added to the recently-created Reserve/COVID-19 list.
Players that are put on the Reserve/COVID-19 list can return after getting tested and being negative after three weeks. What will happen if more and more players turn up and test positive, though? We are still waiting to find out.
According to ESPN.com,
The NFLPA has spent the past couple of weeks negotiating with the league on health and safety protocols specific to reopening procedures in light of the virus, as well as on economic issues such as the impact of lost 2020 revenue on the 2021 salary cap.
For the first time in many years, the Bills will not hold training camp at St. John Fisher College, and will instead do their off-season training at One Bills Drive in Orchard Park. Training camp kicks off today, July 28th, so we can expect more news about the team's health on a regular basis.
