Every year players leave the Bills but sometimes those players are what you would call team legends and it is just weird to see them in a different uniform.
Most of these players played the majority of their careers with the Bills and went on to be the face of the team, enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame, or just become fan favorites.
This year, Harrison Phillips would fall into this group. As an early-round draft pick by the Bills, Phillips was more than just a player here in Western New York. Sure he did some great things on the field but it was his off-field actions that BIlls Mafia loved.
He was all about giving back and made a huge difference in the community around him here in Western New York. He signed a new deal with the Minnesota Vikings this off-season and it will be very weird to the #99 in the purple and gold instead of red, white, and blue.
A couple of the players on this list left Buffalo at the end of their careers and might have only played one or two more seasons after leaving Buffalo. But that was just enough to shock Bills Mafia when they saw these Buffalo greats wearing a different uniform. After watching these players year after year in Western New York, to see them somewhere else was mind-blowing.
