The NFL Playoffs are about to begin, and the Buffalo Bills are still making some major moves to get their roster where they want it before heading to Jacksonville. They made three big moves today.

Injuries have been an underlying theme to the 2025-2026 Buffalo Bills season

Every year teams head into a season with dreams of a Super Bowl run. Then as the weeks go on, they realize how incredible depth is to a team. The cliche phrase is that a team is only as strong as its weakest link, and the good news for the Bills is that their weakest links have been pretty strong.

The Bills started right out of training camp with a major injury to one of their rookie draft picks when their first round pick went down with a sprained LCL in his knee. Then they dealt with injuries to Michael Hoecht, Ed Oliver, and more. It was up to the next person to step up and get them through and so far, they've done pretty well.

The Bills make three big roster moves

Today, the Bills announced that they've moved defensive tackle Jordan Phillips to IR. Phillips decided to come back for one final stint with the Buffalo Bills after young defensive tackle DeWayne Carter went down with a season-ending injury. The Bills did not disclose what the exact injury was that landed Phillips on IR but he had struggled with an ankle injury two weeks before last weekend's regular-season ending.

Dane Jackson has been added to the 53-man roster to fill the spot left empty by Jordan Phillips and to give some depth to the defensive backs while Hairston recovers from his second injury of the year. Jackson is one of many former players who are on their second or third stint with the Bills.

Shane Buechele is back with the Bills again too. He's been added back to the practice squad after Kansas City signed him and then waived him. Now the Bills are back to having three quarterbacks on the team with Mitch Trubisky backing up Josh Allen.
