Buffalo Ranked As The Best Place In The Country To Negotiate a Home Price

Here's something interesting that Buffalo was ranked #1 in and it's great news if you're looking to buy a home.

According to a study conducted by SmartAsset, Buffalo, NY ranks number one in the top 10 places in the country where it pays off to negotiate a home price.

The study looked at 100 of the largest metro areas in America. They followed two metrics. The first was the percentage of listings with a price cut. The second was the median price reduction.

Buffalo ranked number one because between August of 2019 and July of 2020, the Queen city had an average price reduction of 3.93%, which happened to be the highest in the study.

More than 14 percent of the home listings had a price reduction.

Who else was in the top 10?

Number two was Akron, Ohio. Number three was Toledo, Ohio.
