Couple’s AMAZING Find While Renovating in Buffalo, New York
A couple got quite the surprise during the renovations of their house in Buffalo, New York and the internet is talking about it.
There was a house in Buffalo that was for sale for about 5 years and if you are in the housing search right now you know that usually there are reasons that people don't buy a house for 5 years because everything has been going so fast and for so much money. This house in particular was certainly a fixer upper and needed a ton of work on the inside and the outside. Well the couple bought it and when they got working on the house they took down one of the walls of drywall only to find one of the coolest surprises of all time.
It was a vintage, original bookshelf floor to ceiling still filled with books that the previous owners just didn't want. They just put a sheet of drywall over it and kept the wall going rather than just taking the bookshelf out.
One of the owners, who is a nurse in Western New York told the story according to Newsweek:
We spent a month ripping down wallpaper, fixing drywall, and getting it as ready as we could before moving in. "I decided I wanted to rip out the upper shelves the other day—but was pleasantly surprised to see when I removed the drywall that there were floor-to-ceiling bookshelves."
Have you ever found something while renovating a house? Some people in Western New York have reported that they have some of the common items that people find in their house such as old beer cans, newspapers, razors which apparently was an actual thing where people would be done with razors and then just throw them in the back of the wall. You never really know what you're going to find when it comes to fixing up a house especially in Western New York which has so much history. What is something that you have found in your house while renovating inside the walls or attic?
