Western New York does a lot of things well, but perhaps the best thing we do is cook! There are originals like wings, beef on ‘weck, and Buffalo-style pizza, which you can easily find all over the Niagara Region. They are made with care and taste delicious everywhere. There are also incredible dishes from around the world, and you can find them in every town and burb of Buffalo. It is a melting pot, pun intended, of food from different cultures all in one magical place: Western New York. It’s why Buffalo is always ranked among the top food cities in the world.

With the holidays here, people will be itching to stop by their favorite spots for a quick bite as they get their last-minute shopping in or look to entertain family and friends coming into town. Or, maybe you’re looking for a new, unfamiliar spot to visit? The good news is that Buffalo has plenty of options to explore.

When it comes to the places I'd take guests, it's a little bit of places we all know and places you might not be familiar with. Some spots I've been going to since I was a child. Others I only recently discovered. All, though, are worthy of taking even the most hard-headed of family or friends!
