What’s Next For Mister’s Bar & Grill In East Aurora

The news came out this week that Mister's in East Aurora will be closing their doors soon. So, what is going to happen with that space when they reopen?

Misters has been operating under new management for months

WIVB spoke with the current owners, real estate developer Ryan Kanowski, and Dylan Smith about what will happen with Misters. They explained that they bought the building, but the business was never up for sale. So they've been operating under the same name for months, but hadn't decided about the future of Misters.

“Mister’s was never for sale, so the business that’s in this building was never for sale, just the real estate was. So you know, when the building closed, and the real estate deal happened, there was always the question of what was going to happen to Mister’s.” - Ryan Kanowski

Mister's Is Being Reimagined

The new owners have confirmed that they will be reimagining the space and renaming the building. It will soon be called West End Social. They describe it as "an upscale dive bar" and it will feature cocktails, live music, and good times. They also describe it as a place where you can have an event, a wedding shower, or just good times.

They're still not sure about the bowling alley

One of the most unique things about Misters was that it was not only a full restaurant and bar, but they also had a bowling alley in the back where people could bowl a few frames. It was a one stop date shop. But they're not sure what will happen with it in the new model.

“We just don’t have a direction on what’s going to go in that space, but if you’re watching, and you have an idea of what to maybe do with 6,000 square feet in East Aurora, feel free to hit us up because we are all ears,” Kanowski said.
