Low-to-Mid 60’s In The Forecast for Buffalo and WNY
This winter has been one of the strangest we have ever seen. Dating back to before winter, when Western New York got hit with that historic lake effect snowstorm, which dumped 4-6 feet of snow in less than two days; between South Buffalo and Hamburg.
Then a lack of snowfall before a deadly blizzard came through on Christmas weekend, which shut down all of Erie County, canceled Christmas plans and took the lives of 50 people.

We had a relatively quiet and mild January, but then we have had the ups and downs in temperature to start February. After a brief cooldown this past week, we will see another rise in temperatures this week...as in, a very big rise in temperatures.
Mike Cejka of WIVB Weather is forecasting 60 degrees for the high on Wednesday, and the temperature reading could be slightly north of that. It will feel like late April, instead of mid-February.
Unfortunately, that means we will get another cold front moving through after that. Thursday night and Friday morning will bring a storm, which will cause high winds with ran and snow showers. It looks like a pretty similar situation that we saw last week, with dangerous winds and rain on Thursday into Friday.
It looks like we will get 40's followed by 30's in the temperature department for next week, with the chance of snow showers by the middle of next week. It's still too far out to know for sure, however.
Enjoy that weather on Wednesday!
