For those Bills fans that couldn't attend this weekend's Playoff game, there was another option..."Playoffs on the Patio".

Restaurant owners of Soho Buffalo and Rec Room told News 4 Buffalo, it was great getting staff and customers back at their outdoor tables. With, the proper paperwork filed and the City’s permission, they should be able to continue this for next week’s second home playoff game.

“The Mayor’s Office with the Reopen Buffalo plan, did extend the patios through May,” said Owner of Rec Room, Chris Ring. “So all our paperwork is in there. All our insurance is there. So we’ll basically do this kind of thing moving forward through May with the City’s approval,” he added.

The city’s Special Events department recommends that if a restaurant has not submitted an application for this type of event, they need to reach out as soon as possible to get all required paperwork in.

If more restaurants along Chippewa wish to expand their outdoor dining for next Saturday's Bills playoff game, the City of Buffalo says they need to move fast.

“If they have never submitted, we would want to get their complete application ASAP since there is a 10-day turnaround time,” Buffalo’s Special Events Office says.

The city is recommending that anyone looking to apply, or just re-open their area again for the next game, get their paperwork in on Monday January 11th.

“We will obviously expedite this in all possible ways, but we need the actual required documents from the business owner,” the department continued.

They say that any business that was previously approved just needs to reach out to the Special Events Office in order to re-open their area.
