Carrie Underwood has been wowing her fans across the pond by paying tributes to bands to local bands. First, the award-winning singer put on a stunning rendition of Coldplay‘s ‘Fix You’ for concertgoers at Royal Albert Hall in London. Then, while in Melbourne, the ‘Good Girl’ singer delivered a real treat when she gave props to Aussie hitmakers INXS by singing ‘Never Tear Us Apart.’

Before launching into the classic love ballad, Underwood explained to her fans that she wanted to sing a song by an Australian band while she was in the land down under. Thousands of concertgoers immediately erupted into cheers as they waited to find out which band the superstar would pay homage to.

“I really respect this band, but I won’t tell you who it is,” she said. “You’ll have to guess.”

With that, Underwood and her band launched into a soulful cover of ‘Never Tear Us Apart,’ earning plenty of whoops and hollers from the crowd.

Underwood will end the Australian leg of her 2012 Blown Away Tour in Sydney on July 3, and we’re looking forward to finding out which Aussie band she’ll cover next. Coming in September, the ‘Good Girl’ hitmaker will kick off the U.S. leg of her tour with opener Hunter Hayes.
