The Chiefs Got "Buffalo Karma" In AFC Championship Loss

I know many Buffalo Bills fans who decided to skip the AFC Championship game this week, especially after what took place at the end of the AFC Divisional Round game between the Bills and Kansas City Chiefs.

You probably know the story by now. The Bills had two all-time amazing drives led by quarterback Josh Allen, which put the Bills up 29-26, then 36-33 with just 13 seconds left in regulation at Arrowhead Stadium against the Chiefs.

For some ungodly reason, the Bills defensive strategy was to play far off the Chiefs receivers and they got nearly 50 yards in two plays from Patrick Mahomes in less than 13 seconds to set up a game-tying field goal by Harrison Butker. The Chiefs then won the game in overtime, after winning the coin toss and scoring a touchdown on the first drive of OT -- preventing Allen from touching the ball.

The Chiefs looked as if they had the world in the palm of their hands today. They led the Cincinnati Bengals, 21-3 in the first half and were inside the 15 yard line with 13 seconds left in the first half, trying to make it 28-10.

Then, you could say that karma got in the Chiefs way.

This is when the Chiefs fans decided to chant "13 seconds", in celebration of what happened to the Bills defense last week and the fact they had 13 seconds left to score another TD against the Bengals this week.

But then, the Chiefs offense went into the tank. In fact, they didn't score again in the game.

Mahomes passed the ball to Tyreek Hill (the receiver who taunted the Bills defenders on the way to his touchdown last week), and he was stopped short of the end zone, and time ran out in the first half, keeping the score 21-10.

Mahomes proceeded to throw an interception in the second half and the Chiefs were held scoreless; they punted four times and did not attempt a field goal.

Then, as fate would have it, Mahomes threw his second and final interception (and his last play of his season), 13 second into overtime. Seriously, 13 second into overtime.

The Bengals converted multiple first downs and kicked the game-winning field goal to send the Bengals to their first Super Bowl since 1988.

The Chiefs literallly did not score and were not the same since their fans chanted "13 seconds" with 13 second left in the first half; and Mahomes threw the game-losing interception, 13 seconds into overtime.
