It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, brought to you by Batavia Downs Gaming with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help us with our nominations every week.  This week, our Hometown Hero from Tonawanda, NY is Chris Kreiger!

Yup…you’ve heard that name before.  Chris Kreiger is a 10yr Army Veteran as a Combat Medic with the Military Police.  He served from 1997-2007 with the US Army 105th Military Police Company, 53 Troop Command.

His deployments include:

  • Operation Iraqi Freedom - Initial invasion to oust Saddam Hussein (2003-2004)
  • Operation Noble Eagle - Homeland security of airports, bridges and tunnels (2002)
  • Ground Zero - Security forces and joint efforts with FEMA in medical aid (2001)
  • Operation Joint Forge - NATO security forces in Bosnia (1999-2000)
  • Operation Golden Cargo - Transport munitions/plutonium across country for storage/security (1998)

So where have you heard the name before?  Chris works tirelessly with WNY Heroes to help meet the needs of our Veterans and veteran families who return home and experience a financial burden from their service to our grateful nation.

For the time that he put in to help defend our freedom and all the work he’s done for other families, we want to say thank you to Chris Kreiger from Tonawanda and name him our Hometown Hero of the week!
