The Chevrolet Corvette is the only true American sports car. Since it's arrival on the automotive scene in 1953, America has been captivated with the Chevy Corvette. I have seen many car enthusiasts become addicted to Corvettes and for those people, the Corvette is the only sports car they will ever own. For other people for care for an American sports car, there is always the Porsche 911. My uncle used to have a gorgeous '83 Porsche 911 convertible. The car was so desirable that thieves tried to steal it twice unsuccessfully. Unfortunately, they got it on the third time and we never saw the car again.
