They are still working on the first location, but today, it was confirmed that we've got another second location coming to West Seneca.

Costco's second location confirmed in West Seneca

It's felt like a long time waiting for a Costco to finally make its way to Western New York, but now, not only will we have one, but we've got two coming our way. West Seneca Town Supervisor Gary Dickson has confirmed in a post on social media that not only have they found a tenant for the former Seneca Mall site, but that Costco will be the anchor tenant.

He went on to say that there is still a lot of work to do and that the plans will be refined as the project moves forward.

At this point, there is no timeline as to when people can expect the new store to open.

The other location will be in Amherst

While news is coming out for the second location, crews are still working hard to open what was the first location in Amherst at 4230 Ridge Lea Road. That location will have an anticipated opening date of late October this year. They're currently hiring to fill positions at that store.

They're looking for everything from forklift drivers to pharmacy stockers and membership clerks.

What is Costco?

For those who have never seen one, Costco is a big-box warehouse club. It's one of those stores where you pay an annual fee to buy things in bulk. You'll get huge packages of groceries, electronics and household goods at discounted prices. They're also known for their really cheap food court items like their $1.50 hot dog.
