COVID-19 Spreading on Buffalo's Eastside, Positive Cases Increase

The eastside of Buffalo is seeing an increase in positive COVID-19 cases. Over the past four weeks, the number of people who have tested positive for the deadly virus has almost tripled in the 14215 zip code. According to the most recent data reported by the Erie County Department of Health, these are the number of confirmed cases over the past month,

October 24 - 30, 2021 - 14215 Buffalo (East) 82 Cases

Currently, Western New York's positivity rate is more than 5 times that of New York State's biggest city. Over the past three days, the 7-day average positivity rate for WNY has been above 6 percent, according to the most recent data released by New York Governor Kathy Hochul's Office on Tuesday, November 9, 2021,
