A Man Is Making An Incredible Journey To Buffalo To Say Thanks To Jordan Poyer

A man was inspired by Jordan Poyer and is making a trip around the world just to say thank you to him for the impact he made.

Czech man is making a trip to Buffalo to say thanks

His name is Ludva Klatovsky and he's currently on his way to the United States. He said that he's already started his journey on his 15-year-old Vespa. He's gotten through 11 countries so far, including Italy, the Balkans, Turkey, Georgia, across Russia to Vladivostok, Korea, and Japan. Now, he's in Vancouver. However, he's gotten stuck for a little bit after the ship that his Vespa was on got stuck in a typhoon.

The Vespa is supposed to make it to him by September 1st, when he will begin his trip across the United States to Orchard Park, NY. He's hoping to make it to the Bills' home opener at the New Highmark Stadium on September 17th.

Why is he coming to Western New York?

Klatovsky says that the whole point of the journey is to thank former Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer for helping him to get sober. He had been drinking for around 30 years when he heard Poyer's story about his own journey to get sober. He said when he heard Poyer say "I'm an alcoholic," he "heard that sentence in the Czech Republic, at the bottom of thirty-three years of drinking."

It was those words that helped Klatovsky start his own sober journey, and it has changed his life.

Will Poyer be at the game?

The big question is whether Poyer will even be there. Unfortunately, he's not on the team anymore, so unless this story makes it to him, there's no guarantee Klatovsky will even have a chance to meet him. Last I checked, Poyer lives in Florida which is an even further drive.

He said, "Jordan has no idea I exist. I am not asking him for anything. I just want to shake his hand and say thanks.
