Does Dion Dawkins Have Beef With Bills Mafia?
Buffalo Bills' left tackle and perennial fan favorite Dion Dawkins raised some eybrows yesterday with something that he said on a livestream about Bills Mafia. Did he mean what he said, or was it an April Fools' joke?
Dion Dawkins broke a cardinal rule on a live stream
Yesterday, while in Miami, Dion Dawkins was on a live stream where he was asked if the Miami Dolphins offered double the money that he's making now, would he go play in Miami instead of Buffalo.
Now, most people would be nuts to stay in a job if you are offered double to do the same thing somewhere else. No one would blame him for that, but the reason that he gave, rightfully, rubbed some of Bills Mafia the wrong way.
The problem was that he said he would leave because of the fans. He said they've been "trying to cook him." Who has been doing that??
Should Bills Mafia be mad about what Dawkins said?
Dion Dawkins is easily one of the Bills' biggest entertainers (in every sense of the word). He's always trying to make people laugh and get a rise out of people. The clip above was edited to do just what it did. It got a rise out of people.
If he had said the things he said and meant them, then sure, Bills Mafia would have every right to be angry. But when you watch the entire clip, he immediately says he's just joking and that he wouldn't leave.
Is this just an April Fools Joke?
If this was just a bad joke for April Fools Day, it's terrible. But it's not the worst one. This is the worst one:
