VIDEO: Dion Dawkins’ History With The New York Jets

Dion Dawkins, one of the most beloved veteran players on the Buffalo Bills, has openly made his feelings about the New York Jets known many times. 

On Monday night, in between the 3rd and 4th quarter, tensions between Dawkins and his rivals boiled over once again, when Dawkins reportedly had a row (in the dark?) with several Jets players.

Later, Dawkins admitted the incident was “a little weird,” and things blew up when he felt a Jets trainer was disrespecting him, leading to him grabbing a water bottle out of the trainer’s hands. Dawkins was flagged for the play, and was seen by reporters being scolded by Bills captain Josh Allen.

Of course, this all brings back memories of another eye-opening incident between Dion Dawkins and the New York Jets, leading to comments the popular Bills offensive lineman made about the Jets coming back around.

Remember The Dion Dawkins & Michael Clemons Incident?

Who could forget last season’s crazy incident after the Bills faced the Jets in week eleven, wen Dawkins and Jets defensive end Michael Clemons were caught on video screaming at each other in the tunnel of Highmark Stadium?

Neither Dawkins nor Clemons were fined for altercation, however Dawkins was fined $10,927 for an unnecessary roughness penalty in the 4th quarter. 

Dion Dawkins Shared His True Feelings About The New York Jets

After the season was over, Dawkins was filmed during an interview with the YouTube channel VLADTV discussing the viral incident with Clemons. 

In a clip of the interview shared on social media by NFL analyst Will Parkinson, Dawkins did not hold back when it came to the topic of Michael Clemons and the New York Jets. 

“I hate them. All of them, bro.”

He continued, 

“When it comes to sports, right? There's people who play the sport because they love the sport. And then there's people who play the sport just to try to be cool. I feel like they play the sport just to be cool. Like, those are a bunch of dudes that just want to take pictures on Instagram. That’s wack. Like, I play this because I die by it.”

The Jets are set to take on the Bills again this season at Highmark Stadium on December 29th. 

We’re not sure if things will be settled between Dawkins and the Jets by then, but we think if everyone manages to keep their cool, it will be a post-Christmas miracle.
