Update: Good News On The Injury To DJ Moore
The Bills seemed to be clicking with everything on their home opener against the Lions last night until an injury to wide receiver DJ Moore seemed to take a lot of air out of their sails. But news this morning is encouraging.
The Bills seemed to be able to score at will against the Lions. Then, on an attempted pass to DJ Moore in the end zone, he came down hard on his left shoulder. He ended up going straight to the locker room and didn't return to the game.
Bills fans were left to speculate how serious the injury was. He was clutching at his shoulder and collarbone area and seemed to be in immense pain. I thought for sure it was a broken collarbone.
News this morning was encouraging
Last night we didn't hear much. We knew it was an injury to his shoulder and a stinger but not much more.
Today, Adam Schefter is reporting that it might be less serious than it orignally appeared.
He's simply reporting that it's not considered "serious" and that he will be day to day.
That's great news for the Bills wide receiver who is known to want to be on the field no matter what.
The Bills did seem to struggle without Moore
As mentioned above, the Bills seemed to be able to do whatever they wanted on offense against the Lions. But that did seem to become a little more difficult without Moore on the field. Whether it's a case of the Lions making adjustments, or the fact that they didn't have to account for him is unknown but the Bills are definitely better with him playing.
The Bills will have a couple of days off after a short week. They will be back at home against the Chargers on 9/27.
