Eight Days Of Hope Offering Free Masks To Residents Of 14215
COVID-19 has affected just about everyone in the US, but in Erie County, no area has been hit like the residents in the 14215 zip code. This weekend a non-profit group will be handing out masks to residents there.
They're called Eight Days of Hope and they have announced that they will be doing their part to help stop the spread of COVID-19 by handing out face masks to residents of that area for free.
The giveaway will happen on Saturday from 10am-2pm in a parking lot adjacent to their Kensington location (852 Kensington Ave, Buffalo, NY 14215).
According to a press release that they sent out:
“Our Northeast satellite happens to be in the 14215 area that is greatly affected by Covid-19. Most of our neighbors do not have the means to protect themselves or access to masks during this time. Eight Days of Hope wants to do all we can to bring hope to those we see every day. We will be providing masks to our community this weekend, for free,” says Stephen Tybor, III, EDOH President and CEO.
You will not need to (and they don't want you to) get out of your car for any reason. The entire process will be a drive thru process so that no human to human contact will need to take place. There will be a limit of four masks per vehicle and the giveaway will last as long as supplies do. As a reminder, these masks are meant for residents in the 14215 zip code as there are the most cases of COVID-19 there in Erie County.
