On February 9th The Alix Rice Memorial Skatepark Fundraiser will be the 2nd Annual Fundraiser at the Main and Transit FireHall. The non for Profit Foundation will be collection donations and holding the fundraiser to further solidify the creeation of a safe haven for local skaters in the community. Alix Rice was lost in a drunk driver incident July 2011. Since the Board has formed and has worked hand in hand with Amherst officials to create the skatepark. There will be live music, food, 50/50, chinese and silent auctions, and much more.
