Buffalo: Tunnel to Towers 5K

The second annual Buffalo Tunnel to Towers 5k will take place September 9th at Bellevue Fire Hall 511 Como Park Blvd Cheektowaga, NY 14227. The race was started by the Stephen Siller Foundation, Stephen was a firefighter that passed away in the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center. The money raised from the 5k races that happen all over the country is used for Never Forget Programs (5Ks, and a mobile 9/11 exhibit), helping orphans (Stephen was one at 10) and the biggest, Building for America's Bravest. Building for America's Bravest builds smart homes for wounded soldiers. This year a wounded soldier in Western New York will have a home built through this program.
