On May 17, 2014, the Medina War Veterans are sponsoring a Gun Raffle and Spaghetti Dinner to benefit Operation Injured Soldiers. The objective is to raise enough money to take injured veterans on a chartered fishing trip on Lake Ontario. Last year, the organization chose 16 injured veterans for the fishing trip. This year, our goal is 24. Operation Injured Soldiers was founded 8 years ago by an injured Iraq War Vet. Our mission is to provide recreation therapy to the injured veterans. OIS gives injured vets the opportunity to do things that they did before their injuries. We provide vets with hunting, fishing, camps and other recreation sporting activities. We accommodate all times of injuries; wheelchair bound, paralyzed and PTSD. Our organization is all volunteer and all the funds go towards the veterans. They gave their life for our freedom, now it's our turn to give back to them. Please consider a monetary donation or an item for the Chinese auction. If needed, a tax ID number can be provided.
