Executive Order Suspending NYS Vehicle Inspections Set To Expire
If you have been putting off getting your New York State vehicle inspection due to COVID-19, you might want to double-check when it is due.
Back in March, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo signed an executive order allowing people to drive on expired inspections due to the coronavirus pandemic.
While people were still encouraged to get their inspections done, you couldn't get a ticket for having an out-dated one.
That is set to change according to Uticaod.com. Cuomo's executive order is set to expire on Sunday, which means if you have an out-of-date inspection on Monday you can now get a ticket.
The Governor could always extend the order as he has in the past, but with September just ending, there could be a lot of people who will now have expired inspections.
